16 April 2009 – Held at the Amara Singapore, more than 100 NATAS members turned up for a morning with Raymond McConnell of Sandler Training on the “Success Selling Strategies and Techniques in an Economic Downturn”.
Some of the topics that the training touched on included overcoming challenges in the changing world of travel, creating mind share with corporate clients, managing the “fear factor” and fear of competition and the strategies and techniques for securing new accounts.
Various case studies from the travel industry were also discussed.
Raymond McConnel is the co-founder and managing director of the Singapore office of Sandler Training SM. Raymond has worked with MNCs, SMEs and government organizations in Asia , Europe and North America in the areas of sales and leadership. In addition, he has several years of experience as a Creative Sales Executive on Madison Avenue in New York City . Raymond received a double Master's Degree from Princeton University (MPP) and University of Maryland (MA). He is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School (Advanced Management Program).
